Ranked

Season Two of Ranked kicks off with this patch with the usual LP reset and a new batch of rewards.

Ranked Reset LP Adjustments

  • Players below Platinum I or lower will not lose any LP (0 – 6,399 LP)
  • Players between Diamond IV and Superhero I will lose 800 LP or be placed at 6,400 LP, whichever is a lesser drop (6,400 LP – 9,599 LP)
    • Example 1: If you had 6,500 LP, you would have 6,400 LP with the seasonal reset
    • Example 2: If you had 8,800 LP you would now have 8,000 LP
  • Players at or above 9,600 LP will be reset to exactly 9,600 LP
    • Example: If you had 14,000 LP you would be set to 9,600 LP

Season Two Ranked Rewards

  • Play 50 matches – “Between Two Worlds” Badge
  • Play 200 matches – “Multiversal” Background
  • Play 400 matches – “No 2nd Chances” Title
  • Play 600 matches – Prestige Color Variant for all Fighters

Quality of Life

A new Audio Accessibility settings feature set has been introduced in this patch!

  • An “Enable Proximity Indicator” toggle has been added. This enables or disables a sound cue that gets faster and louder as distance between characters decreases
  • A “Proximity Indication Volume” slider has been added. This increases or decreases the overall volume of the proximity indicator sound cue.
  • Various sliders for core combat sound cues have been added. This includes:
    • Boost Meter Fill Volume – Increases or decreases the volume of the sound cue that plays when a point characters boost bar is filled to certain thresholds (half bar and full bar).
    • Super Meter Fill Volume – Increases or decreases the volume of the sound cue that plays when the super meter bar fills up
    • Boost Activate Volume – Increases or decreases the volume of the sound cue that plays when a character performs any boosted attack
    • Boost Dash Activate Volume – Increases or decreases the volume of the sound cue that plays when a character performs a boosted dash
    • Assist Ready Volume – Increases or decreases the volume of the sound cue when an assist becomes ready to use

Gameplay and Balance Fixes

  • We’ve done a pass and fixed several instances where you could perform a “Safe Feint” that circumvented the Active Tag interaction when done at a specific height
  • Fixed an issue where Bulletproof could put his opponent in an infinite block string while airborne
  • Ultimates can no longer hit assist characters (this was creating bad gameplay scenarios during blowouts & active tags)
  • Fixed an issue with Immortal’s Active Assist sometimes passing the opponent on Block Strings
  • Fixed an issue where Universa’s Crouching Heavy would launch air blocking opponents too high
  • Fixed an issue where Conquest was unable to complete an air auto combo properly on motion controls
  • Fixed an issue where Immortal could, in very specific circumstances, revive during Sudden Death
  • Fixed a rare interaction where Cecil’s Air Down medium could trade with an opponent’s Crouching Heavy and cause a warp across the arena

General Bug Fixes

  • Improvements for Steamdeck Performance have been made for longer sessions that return to the character select screen repeatedly
  • The Lobby win streak display now correctly counts disconnects/forfeits
  • CPU opponents will now be able to manually Air Recover
  • Pushblock VFX now display in the correct direction across the board
  • Fixed an issue where Titan’s Stone Skin Armor did not correctly render on all skins / variants in Character Select
  • Fixed an issue where the Offscreen player indicator showed “0” instead of “P1” and “P2”
  • Fixed a rare issue where a match would not end even if an opponent had 0 hp left on all characters
  • Fixed an issue where some overkills on specific characters sometimes showed a black texture
  • Fixed an issue where Universa’s Taunt did not have mouth movement
  • Fixed an issue where Lucan’s Ultimate sometimes didn’t have proper screen dimming when performed on opponents
  • Fixed several delayed stinger / double stinger SFX + VFX on multiple characters
  • Fixed an issue where Atom Eve’s CPU could block during hover
  • Fixed an issue with Robot’s Flaxan Armor Skin where the cape would clip through his body
  • Fixed an issue where floating body parts would sometimes remain on screen after an overkill on the P2 side
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the same arena to be picked twice in a row during a ladder
  • Fixed an issue where the predetermined final arena during a ladder could be picked during the ladder
  • Fixed an issue where a specific type of disconnect could award both players the same result during Ranked
  • Fixed an issue in Practice Mode where setting all enemy hp values to 0 could cause a looping death
